There is support for everyone affected by Huntington’s Disease:
Those at risk, HD gene positive, HD symptomatic, family, friends and professionals

Family Services
 
Patient and Caregiver Support - for the eastern half of Pennsyvlania & all of Delaware


The Delaware Valley Chapter provides the following support

• On staff Social Worker

• Individual and family counseling

• Monthly support group meetings

• Referrals to health care professionals skilled in the management of HD

• Referrals to genetic counseling

• Annual educational conferences

• In-service training

• Information including print and electronic

• An overnight retreeat/camp for individuals in early to mid stage HD

HDSA Centers of Excellence

There are currently 21 HDSA Centers of Excellence at major medical facilities across the US. People with HD receive medical and psycolgoical treatment, physical therapy, social services, support and counseling from the Center personnel.

Our support group provides a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential outlet for sharing with peers who have or are going through similar experiences. Support group members provide understanding and assurance that you are not alone. Support group leaders and members share a wealth of information and resources
